The company FXDD Malta Ltd another desktop trading platform developed by Forexware LLC, called ‘Swordfish’. It is java-based and after installation the terminal occupies near 200 MB of your hard drive. The Swordfish looks a lot like the web platform of the company. There are several panels into the workspace, and they can be resized, moved, docked and undocked. All panels can be accessed from the Toolbar at the top. All instruments are shown in the Quote panel as lines or as boxes. Clicking the Bid or Ask price of any asset invokes the New Order module. You can set all the properties of orders here, or you can also place a pending order.
Scalpers can enable the 1-click trading option from the Settings button in the Quote panel. Already open positions are shown in the Information module. Right-click it for options to modify and close the position.
Charts can be opened from the Toolbar and are shown in sections. You can also drag them into smaller windows. Time periods start from tick to 1 month and chart types include candlesticks, bars or lines. There are few graphical objects such as different kinds of lines and Fibonacci retracement. About 25 indicators are available. Right click on the chart shows a detailed menu with additional settings including saving the current chart as a file. You can also monitor related financial news and account information into the other two panels in the workspace.
