‘Fortrader’ is the name of the platform for online trading developed by the FCA-regulated company Fortrade Ltd. The web-based version runs on any major browser. The workspace is organized in four modules. The All instruments section represents trading assets in groups (currencies, indices, stocks, commodities, US treasuries and ETFs). You can expand each group and add the new instrument to the Favourites section. You can also monitor top gainers and losers from the module below. The parameters of the market orders are set in the Trade module, which opens when you click on the buy or sell button. Pending orders can be placed from this window as well. Already open positions are shown in the module at the bottom where they can be modified or closed.
The chart module is next to the Favorites tab. Charts can be maximized to full screen or can be opened in a new window of the internet browser. They are two types only – lines or candles. Only 7 indicators are available, and the time periods start from 1 minute to 1 week. Zoom can be done by pressing + or – buttons or by the mouse scroll wheel, which is very convenient. You can trade directly from the chart module.
The ribbon at the top of the workspace shows information about the balance, profit/loss and equity.
In our opinion this app is only for beginners. It doesn’t have many features, but everything you need for simple trading is here.
